I had the privilege of speaking to the staff at Hope International the other day.

I lend to some of the family businesses they are helping through Kiva.org

If you’d like to lend through Kiva, I strongly suggest lending through the organizations related to Hope International.

Sample Web Site Using HostGator & Wordpress “Backbone”

Here is a sample of a website I’ve put together using HostGator and autoresponder based forms on a Wordpress platform along with one of dozens of beautiful web templates I use to make people’s small business websites look professional instead of “homemade”.

It’s CreditRepairConcepts.com and it’s a newly created site.

It uses AWeber autoresponders to allow for ongoing contact with interested visitors who might otherwise only visit one time.

Because it’s based on WordPress, it allows me to use that softwares blogging feature to constantly update the site and keep the search engines very happy with regular new content.

Nevertheless, fixed pages keep the first time visitors’ interest fixed on the main subject of the site.

Kiva - Some of the Projects I’m Funding

I like Kiva.org as a way to help families and - in that way - kids.

I try to lend through Christian microlending agencies if I can find them or Christian oriented organizations. Why? Escaping poverty isn’t just about money. It’s about needing support, encouragement, and trust that our Creator has a purpose in our work and that our Savior has died to redeem our work from utter futility. Banks - however noble - can’t provide that.

I’ve only had two loans go bad. They were refunded. The local organization wasn’t doing its job. I feel sad for the people. I also try to lend based on Kiva’s star “ratings”.

I’ve even approached several overseas agencies I support through other channels but haven’t had many results in connecting them.
